Have you ever thought about the meaning of a postmark on the letters you receive in the mail? That little circle stamped over the postage verifies the date and place where the letter was mailed. The symbol is verification that the letter is authentic, its cost to deliver has been paid, that it indeed has a destiny and is been sent to that destiny by an authority, the U.S. Postal Service.

So it is with you and me: We are postmarked, sealed, and stamped by God. His mark shows three things: his authority, authentification, and destiny. He stamps us with his authority for our destinies, which he created and he designed. When God thinks about us and looks at us he says: I approve!

Would you try to argue with him, saying, “But God, I’m not qualified. What about my past? I don’t think I can do that.”

The past doesn’t matter, God says. Stamp! You’re already approved! And your fear? My spirit will help you with that. And your inability? Where you are weak, I am strong.

I remember seeing a funny commercial that I have never forgotten. This man was obsessed with his new label maker and was caught in the act. Not only had he labeled his files, but he had labels all over his body. So when I think of how God has accepted and approved of me, I see in my imagination his stamp of approval all over me! There’s nothing about me that he rejects. He accepts me faults and all. He desires to use me whether I’m qualified or not. He has chosen to appoint me, anoint me, and approve of me.

Think about that. God Almighty, the creator of the universe, the only perfect one, approves of you today. That means that you have his unconditional acceptance, love, and blessing. It doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, it doesn’t matter what anybody else has said about you. You are approved by Almighty God.
