In January, I was praying about the New Year and asking God what His thoughts were for this coming year-not only for me, but for His people. God doesn’t always answer me immediately, but He brought this Scripture in Romans to my spirit and began to speak to me. Romans 12:2 says: Do not CONFORM any longer to the PATTERN of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. God said this to me: This is a YEAR OF FREEDOM AND TRANSFORMATION! It’s a time to let go of old patterns so that He can bring transformation into our lives. The old patterns may be worldly patterns or negative patterns-or they may be good patterns that were for a season.
God is always moving His people FORWARD-from glory to glory. God wants to bring us into a NEW SEASON-A GREATER SEASON. So don’t conform and be stuck in the old when God wants to do something new in your life! Galatians 5:25 says, Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. I Corinthians 2:9 says, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him, but God has REVEALED it to us by His SPIRIT.
This year, keep in step with the Holy Spirit-and He will increase you, enlarge you, and bring transformation into your life, your family, and your circumstances. And you will begin to understand-in a greater capacity-what God’s perfect will is!
This is YOUR year of FREEDOM AND TRANSFORMATION!
